Conversation with the Moon 🌙

— for the moon, who always listens 🌙

Hey you,

Why do you look so blurred tonight?

not glowing the way you used to,

as if some part of you is tired —

Or maybe, you’re just hiding your light from the world.

It’s almost our time again,

You know that hour when silence begins to hum,

and the stars lean in to listen.

I’ve been waiting for you to rise,

for your face to find mine through the clouds.

Funny, isn’t it?

How your mood always shapes mine.

When you’re shy, I become quiet.

When you burn brighter, I start to dream again.

As if we’re connected —somewhere beyond sight,

In the language only souls can understand.

I still remember those dreams,

just the two of us, floating among galaxies,

drifting through stardust like old lovers who’ve finally found their way home.

You held me with your silence, and I knew —

We’ve met before.

So tonight, even if your light feels dim,

I’ll still be here, looking up, feeling that pull that only you can make me feel.

Because no matter how many nights pass,

I’ll always find a piece of myself in your glow.

And maybe, you’ll find a piece of you in me, too.
