A Faith Journey

I understand now.

To be able to love others,

I must first learn to love myself.

And to love myself,

I need to know myself—

who I am,

my strengths and my weaknesses,

my beliefs, my past,

my broken parts, my pain,

my imperfections.

Not to judge them.

But to see them.

To accept them.

To embrace them.

Along this journey, I am learning one thing slowly but surely:

I cannot walk alone.

So I choose to involve Jesus in everything—

in every decision shaped by my mind,

every emotion carried by my heart,

and every desire born from my human needs.

I invite Him in.

I tell Him everything.

He becomes my light in the dark—

a flame that never goes out,

a torch that keeps my life illuminated

even when I cannot see the road ahead.

He sees my heart. The unspoken words.

He listens to my thoughts.

He understands my reasons.

He loves my dreams, my hopes, my needs,

even when they are unclear or imperfect.

He helps me sort through my choices,

filters my paths,

opens doors I never noticed,

and gently closes the ones that would harm me.

Sometimes, He even upgrades my plans,

because it turns out,

He has been planning something far greater than anything I could imagine.

Something prepared long before I was born.

I give everything to Jesus.

Not half, but whole.

All of me.

My pain, my sadness, my disappointment, my confusion.

My anger, my jealousy, my ego, my pride.

My hopes, my expectations, my dreams.

My joy, my passion, my thoughts.

My heart.

My life.

I let Him work in me,

according to His will

and in His perfect timing.

And He renews my heart.

He heals me deeply, completely,

sometimes even making me stronger than before.

He touches my heart with His perfect love,

and from that moment on,

a part of Him lives within me.

He stays—

as my Father, a perfect one.

My best friend, the only one.

my mentor,

my shield and protector,

my healer,

and above all,

He is my Voice of Truth and Salvation.

He guides me through this journey,

helping me overcome worldly ways,

endure trials, and keep walking forward

until I reach the finish line.

Not empty.

But victorious.

A fighter.

A survivor.

Redeemed.

Saved.

And as someone who walks with Jesus,

I am learning how to love others differently.

To love like Jesus.

Not conditionally.

But fully.

To try to understand who they truly are—

their strengths and weaknesses,

their beliefs,

their past mistakes,

even the darkest parts,

their pain and imperfections.

Not to excuse wrongdoing. but to love with truth, grace, and wisdom.

So we can heal together.

Grow together.

Support one another.

Believe in one another.

For a better future.

Because sometimes,

The most powerful thing we can do is not to walk alone,

but to walk together.

To heal together.

To grow together.

Love,

ree
